HR Assistant

 

As a member of the U.S. based HR Team, the HR Assistant provides administrative support and logistical assistance in all HR functions. S/He will work closely with the Senior Talent Manager to connect with job candidates and orient new hires and with the HR Systems, Administration & Benefits Manager to processes the employment and benefits administration for U.S.-based and international employees hired through the headquarters office in Miami and through the web. The HR Assistant also supports the Global HR Director with local and global HR initiatives and general administrative and logistical matters.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Schedule job interviews between candidates and hiring managers, communicating with them via email and phone, and confirming appointments in writing and on the HR schedule.
  • Email reference requests, as directed, and monitor responses to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Email instructions for candidate assessments and tests to shortlisted candidates, as directed.
  • Schedule orientation sessions for new hires and track completion.
  • Order background checks for finalist candidates, and process background.
  • Process all recruitment related invoices.

Pickup & Delivery Foot Courier

 

Under general supervision, the Pick Up & Delivery Foot Courier provides customer service activities by picking up and delivering orders to and from FedEx Office centers and customer’s place of business. Responsibilities primarily are accomplished by traversing the city, by foot or mass transit when necessary, to pick up and deliver orders. The ability to walk and stand continuously during shift is required for this position. The Pick Up and Delivery Foot Courier will receive daily route information from a centralized dispatcher via a hand held device. The dispatcher will have the ability to add or remove stops from the route as needed. The Pick Up and Delivery Foot Courier may also be asked to perform other duties within a FedEx Office center, if there is a period of time where they are not assigned any pick-up/delivery activity.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Serve the customer in an efficient, polite, professional and upbeat manner while making deliveries to their homes and businesses
  • Ability to safely navigate a delivery truck within New Jersey and New York City (including all five boroughs)
  • Manage a planned delivery schedule with minimal exceptions without interruption to customers
  • Exhibit a high standard for performance, attendance and teamwork
  • Ensure that food safety/sanitation and workplace safety practices are adhered to throughout the scope of the job
  • Accurately record route information and organize paperwork (invoices, coupons, etc.)
  • Ability to load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
